This is a combined course to provide the basic understanding of the regulatory requirements and the standard CSA Z662 Pipeline Systems.

Objectives
Increase awareness of the relevant codes, legislation, regulations, and good practices relevant to pipelines and pressure piping. The content is based on the legislation requirements of Alberta, CSA Z662, CSA B51, ASME B31.3. While primarily focused on Alberta requirements, some content is relevant to British Columbia and Saskatchewan jurisdictions is included. This seminar provides an understanding of the regulatory/jurisdictional requirements regarding pipelines and pressure piping from a more technical perspective. Code requirements for fabrication, inspection, and testing in accordance with CSA Z662 and ASME B31.3 for new construction, post construction repairs, and maintenance work will be presented, as well as discussions to provide clarity regarding the application of CSA Z662 and ASME B31.3. Practical field examples will be discussed.Major topics include:
